Intercontinental U-20: Good visibility, diverse coverage and support from Coca-Cola
This past Saturday, Boca Juniors defeated AZ Alkmaar on penalties to lift the #Sub20Intercontinental, held at La Bombonera in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The nearly 15 people charged with managing the social media profiles of CONMEBOL’s club competitions carried out complete coverage, starting with the build-up, including a Media Day with Boca Juniors. After the match, a special Media Day was held with the winning team and ex-players who currently work with the club such as Blas Giunta, Christian Muñoz y Matíaz Giménez.
It’s important to highlight that alongside all the content generated for CONMEBOL, photos and raw video was sent to UEFA. Collaborations were carried out between the CONMEBOL, UEFA and Boca Juniors accounts, one of which reached 600,000 views, which placed it among the top-three most-viewed pieces of content in the history of the U-20 CONMEBOL Libertadores. Coca-Cola provided support for the event through its brand Powerade for hydration, and the match was broadcast in South America via ESPN by Star+.
