EA Sports FIFA 21 Global Series prepares for CONMEBOL eLibertadores tournament
CONMEBOL eLibertadores Added to EA SPORTS FIFA 21 Global Series on the Road to the 2021 FIFA eWorld Cup
Electronic Arts and the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) are proud to announce the much-anticipated CONMEBOL eLibertadores, expanding the EA SPORTS™ FIFA 21 Global Series and offering players and football fans based in South America a unique way to connect to the CONMEBOL Libertadores through esports competition. South America’s biggest club tournament CONMEBOL Libertadores is also available in EA SPORTS FIFA 21 Ultimate Team™.
The CONMEBOL eLibertadores tournament is a premier EA SPORTS FIFA 21 Global Series and is made up of three phases that run from December 2020 to March 2021. This event kicks off on January 16 and 17, using EA SPORTS FIFA 21 Ultimate Team on Xbox One or PlayStation®4. The best players will advance to the playoffs and continue on the Road to the 2021 FIFA eWorld Cup . The Grand Final of the CONMEBOL eLibertadores tournament will see the top eight competitors from both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One compete for the chance to earn three direct seats on the EA SPORTS FIFA 21 Global Series South America Region Playoffs per platform along with a $ 100,000 USD prize pool. For the first time, CONMEBOL eLibertadores will connect South American football fans and FIFA players to their favorite footballers and teams through intense esports competition and entertainment, helping to grow esports fandom in the region as well as enrich the football experience for fans.

CONMEBOL eLibertadores is the newest addition to the EA SPORTS FIFA 21 Global Series, a global competition spanning six regions (Europe, North America, South America, Oceania, East Asia, West Asia, and South Africa). The CONMEBOL eLibertadores welcomes players from the 10 countries whose associations comprise CONMEBOL (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Perú, Uruguay and Venezuela).
