CONMEBOL Sudamericana Social Media Captures Joel Carli’s Farewell
The last matchday of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana Group Stage was Joel Carli’s farewell, with the Botafogo defender retiring and being honored by the club at the Estádio Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro. The player emotionally received a commemorative shirt on the pitch and a standing ovation from the supporters following the side’s match against Chilean club Magallanes. The tournament’s social media platforms captured the entire scene from up close.
